Buy self help books on how to cope, how to review/ change your career, re-train etc.

Meditate, do breathing exercise to remain emotionally and psychologically balanced and calm

Consider NLP (neurolinguistic programming), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to remain positive and acquire techniques to remain strong and driven.

Find out who you really are and review your life and professional goals so you take charge of where you are heading.

Look after your health, you will feel good in yourself.

Look your best each day, you will feel more confident.

From the Bhagavad Gita (V1 16/17)
“Yoga is impossible for the man who overeats or for the man who starves, or for the man who sleeps too much, or for the man who does not sleep enough. The Yoga which dispels sorrow is for the man who is temperate in his food, recreation, activity and sleep.”

Overcoming Negative Emotions
When meditating you may find it difficult to overcome the negative emotions that pop up at any time when initially you try to sit.
Once comfortable in your meditating position, take a few deep, but not forced breathes, when you feel calm imagine you are holding a large crystal, rock or stone in your hand. This is your ‘worry stone’. Focus on this imaginary object, the colour? The texture? Know it, it is unique to you, it is yours.
Now bring to mind the negative emotion that you wish to bring under control or dispel, imagine this emotion travelling from your mind, down your arm, through your hand, through your fingers, allow it to arrive in your ‘worry stone’, allow the stone to absorb the emotion, allow it to settle in the stone, absorb it totally. Allow your mind to let go of these negative emotions, allow them to die down, cease from troubling you.
As you ‘sit’ and these negative thoughts and emotions arise
Visualise your ‘worry stone’ absorbing every time
